Prepare the source files

Open each PDF and confirm that it is the correct version. Rename files with simple sequence numbers such as 01-cover, 02-form and 03-supporting-documents when the order is easy to confuse.

  • Delete blank or unwanted pages before merging.
  • Unlock protected PDFs only when you have the password and authorization.
  • Extract selected pages when only part of a source document is needed.

Merge in a deliberate sequence

Open Merge PDF and select at least two files in the order they should appear. Docsy copies the original PDF pages into one file rather than recreating them as images, so normal page quality is retained.

  • Combine smaller groups first if a phone struggles with many large files.
  • Keep the browser open until the download finishes.
  • Use Rearrange PDF afterward when individual pages—not whole files—need to move.

Verify the finished document

Open the merged PDF before sending or uploading it. Check the first and last page of every source file, because that is where missing files, duplicates and incorrect order are easiest to spot.

  • Confirm the total page count.
  • Check that pages are upright and readable.
  • Search for a known word if searchable text matters.
  • Keep the source PDFs until the recipient accepts the merged file.
