Know before you start

JPG does not support transparency and uses lossy compression.
Some HEIC files use camera features or encodings that a particular browser may not decode.
Photo metadata such as location, camera details, and editing history may not carry into the new JPG.

Common problems and fixes

If the photo cannot be decoded, try the latest Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a desktop device.
If the JPG looks soft, move the quality slider closer to 100 and convert again.
For a large batch on mobile, process fewer photos at a time.
